What's New

So I decided that it was finally time for us to start blogging.  To begin, I'll give you an update on our current status.
We (Justin and I) are happy and healthy in Modesto, Ca with our three adorable(if I do say so myself) kids.
Kameron is 6 (going on 16) and getting ready to start 1st grade next week.  He really excels academically, and is borderline obsessed with the Jonas Brothers.
Not far behind is Logan who is 4 and the social butterfly of the family.  He has a host of girlfriends at pre-school and church who fight over him on a regular basis.  His interests are anything musical and he too loves the Jonas Brothers and will sing you one of their songs whether you like it or not.  Both boys try to watch "Camp Rock" daily, and are pulling their little sister into the crazy tween disney scene with the music.  I didn't think this would happen so soon.  I was sort of thinking the boys would stick with cartoons for a little while at least.
Kyleigh has proven to be quite the diva.  At 17 months she thinks she rules our house.  Though she only know a few words (and signs) she manages to get her point across by pointing, screaming and other random gestures.  She loves to dance and read.  Based on her dancing, she too likes the Jonas Brothers, and my cell phone ring and alerts which she mimics all the time.
Justin is Pastor of Music and Education at Orangeburg Ave Baptist Church, and he dabbles in Welding and tile work with some guys from the church on the side.  He also works with the Southern Baptist Convention on production for the State Youth Conference.
Alas, I am forever the stay-at-home mom.  It is thankless, tiresome work but does have its perks.  I love watching the kids as they change and grow.  I was warned by everyone that it would happen so fast and man, were they right!  I can't believe it when I look at Kameron.  It seems like only yesterday when we lived at UP and I would push him in the stroller to CBU to meet Justin for lunch in the Caf.  What a long way we have come.
We just celebrated our 7th wedding  anniversary and as I see pictures and attend the weddings of our friends and loved ones, it seems like only yesterday when we were making plans and saying "I do."  Ah, the old days... in addition to running our lives, I am the Nursery and Pre-school director at our church(which pretty much just means I never get to actually get to go to church because I am always filling in for someone) and I lead a Women's Bible Study and am involved in a MOPS group that I love.  I have to say that motherhood doesn't allow for a lot of down-time, but I try to sneak it in whenever possible.  I finally feel settled in here and have made some friendships that have kept me going.  God is ever faithful to provide for us in every way.  I hope to hear from you all soon!

i'm glad i get to see your fam. my children are also obsessed with camp rock...when they aren't trying to watch it, i have to listen to them sing, "we rock we rock we rock..." over and over and over and over and over again. but that's ok...anything is better than the 400th re-run of finding nemo. ;)
